Vincent Black Shadow

At the end of 2021, I was asked to shoot a collection for motorcycles that were to be sold at the Mecum motorcycle auction in Las Vegas. Even though motorcycles aren't my forte, I was happy to do it because I SHOOT MACHINES! Besides, I've always thought motorcycles were cool. In fact, I almost bought one in 1991; it was a red Suzuki Katana 600 and I figured that it would be a safe introductory motorcycle and much safer than the Kawasaki ZX-7 that I truly wanted.

I must say that shooting these motorcycles has reignited my love for motorcycles and I now find myself wanting one. I don't want a crotch rocket (well, I do, but I won't get one) as an adventure bike would suit me better. Something with 1000 cc, an upright seating position and the ability to head off-road to explore old mining trails and the desert, in general, would be perfect. Unless I hit the lottery...then I'm going to buy a Vincent Black Shadow.
